Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Dye Sublimation printer?
A dye sublimation printer is basically a commercial grade compact photo lab that prints high quality photos like you would get from your local drug store. Our printers print photos that are water and finger print resistant, UV protected up to 50 years (No Fading), and they print out in under 20 seconds. So in a nutshell, a dye sublimation printer is 10x faster and better at printing photos than your standard ink-jet printer you have at home.

How big of a space is needed to have a photo booth at our party?
The bigger the space the better, but basically we need a 10’x10’ space for the bigger photo booth which can accommodate up to 15 people inside and to have the props and 40” led screen slide show. But we can go as small as a 5’x5’ booth if space is tight.

Do you provide your photo booth service to the outer islands?
Yes, we service the outer islands for an additional fee. The fee is basically to cover transportation and hotel accommodations. Please contact us for an inter island quote.

Can I get more than one photo booth at my event?
It is always better to have more than one photo booth to alleviate long lines so that more people can experiance the fun and exciting photo booth.

Is there an extra charge to get a CD or DVD copy of all the photos taken at my event?
Our goal at Photo Box Hawaii is not to nickel and dime you for every extra add-on that you get. That is why we offer one of the best priced photo booth packages out there that includes everything for you and your guest to have fun. So the answer is no, we do not charge extra for you to get a CD or DVD copy of your photos from your event.

Can my guest view the photos taken at my event on a web gallery for a period of time?
You and your guest will be able to see all the photos taken at your event on your own personal web gallery. The web gallery can be open to the public or password protected so that only the people that you give the password to can see it. Not only is your web gallery up for as long as you want it to be, your guest may also copy the digital images from the gallery and print out there pictures from home, or they can place an order for the photos and have it delivered to their house.

Is setting up and breaking down of the photo booth included in the time that I paid for?
The amount of time that you pay for the photo booth is the amount of time that the photo booth will be up and operational. So the set up and break down time of the photo booth is free.
